Calm Qi

As an Associate Portfolio Manager, Calm works side-by-side with Portfolio Managers to execute daily trades, monitor current portfolio models, and rebalance accounts. Calm is also part of our Investment Strategy Group (ISG) and collaborates with other Coldstream Portfolio Managers to discuss market and economic trends and make firm-level portfolio recommendations. Calm enjoys identifying emerging trends within the industry and evaluating the role of private investments within a particular clients’ asset allocation.

Calm graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Master of Science in Finance in 2020 and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Western Washington University. Prior to joining Coldstream, he had various internships within the financial services industry in areas ranging from mutual funds to futures. His focus on data driven results and analytical mindset is undeniably valuable to ISG and Coldstream as a whole.

Most Treasured Thing I Own

My collection of kitchen gadgets ranging from a pasta machine to specialized cutlery. Despite drowning in sorrow every time I have to move, I keep convincing myself I need that pot that can change color based on how hot it is.

Hobbies

Cooking, fishing, snowboarding and I have a small displacement café-racer motorcycle. I am also a European soccer fan – the kind that wakes up at 4:30am on a weekend morning to watch games.
