Coldstream Fund Management is a service offered under Coldstream Capital Management, Inc. (“Coldstream”) that draws on its team members’ decades of experience in the management of private funds, including direct lending funds, single-strategy hedge funds, and diversified and sector-specific fund of funds. Our team members have also evaluated hundreds of third-party private funds over their careers, providing essential insight into investment characteristics, risk factors, best practices, and industry trends across a wide variety of fund strategies and structures. Coldstream Fund Management leverages the resources of the broader Coldstream organization, including compliance, accounting, operations, human resources, information technology and cybersecurity, and marketing.

Our Team
Key personnel of Coldstream Fund Management include:
Mr. Blakeslee joined Coldstream in the spring of 2012. At Coldstream, he has directed the growth of Ascent Capital, a Pacific Northwest based private debt fund, to over $100 million in assets. Mr. Blakeslee is a 25-year veteran in the banking, private lending, and construction industry. From 2000 to 2009, he was a co-founder and partner of Builders Capital Mortgage, a regional private portfolio construction lender, where he directed all underwriting, special assets, financial and operational development in building the profitable company. Prior to that, Mr. Blakeslee was a Credit Analyst for Bank of America, where he received his credit training in their middle market commercial division.
Mr. Blakeslee graduated from Seattle University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Washington in 1994.
Howard Coleman has extensive experience both as a portfolio manager for alternative investments and as an attorney. He currently serves as General Counsel for Coldstream Holdings, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, Coldstream Capital Management, Inc. (dba Coldstream Wealth Management), a U.S. Registered Investment Adviser with over $10 billion in assets under advisory and is a Managing Director with Coldstream Capital Management.
Prior to his role under the Fund Management service, Mr. Coleman was the Chief Investment Officer at Coldstream Wealth Management and oversaw the development of a private fund investment program focusing on investments in private debt, equity, real estate, and infrastructure funds. He has also provided counsel to Coldstream’s internally managed real estate lending fund under Ascent Capital.
From 1997 to 2011, Mr. Coleman was involved in the management of two single strategy hedge funds and several hedge fund of funds as General Counsel & Managing Director of Genesee Investments, which was purchased by Coldstream in 2011.
Before working at Genesee Investments, Mr. Coleman was a principal in the law firm of Riddell Williams (now Fox Rothschild) focusing on securities litigation and other security related issues.
Mr. Coleman served as the Chair of Antioch University’s Board of Governors and its Finance and Investment Committees. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Porchlight; a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a path for men from homelessness to stable living. He and his wife, Linda, also founded Education Access Network, a non-profit helping economically disadvantaged high school students prepare for college.
Ritchie serves as a Managing Director of Coldstream Capital Management, where he focuses on investment due diligence, fund operations, and risk management. Previously, Mr. Ritchie served since 2013 as Portfolio Manager and Senior Portfolio Manager for one of Coldstream Wealth Management’s wealth management teams, playing a key role in growing the team’s client book from approximately $250 million to over $1 billion. Mr. Ritchie has also chaired the Private Investments Committee of Coldstream Wealth Management’s Investment Strategies Group since 2019. In that capacity, he has led the firm’s effort to develop a diversified private investments platform offering clients access to a variety of fund structures, investment strategies, and accreditation requirements.
Mr. Ritchie joined Coldstream as part of its 2011 acquisition of Genesee Investments, where he was a Financial Analyst, Risk Analyst, and finally Senior Analyst. His primary role at Genesee was due diligence and monitoring of current and prospective hedge fund investments, with a particular focus on quantitative analysis and risk management at both the fund and portfolio levels. Over his career, Mr. Ritchie has engaged in due diligence on hundreds of private funds, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, private infrastructure, and real estate vehicles.
Mr. Ritchie joined Genesee in 2004 after graduating from Pacific Lutheran University summa cum laude with degrees in Business Administration and Economics. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® (CAIA) designations and is a member of CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Seattle, and the CAIA Association. Mr. Ritchie also serves as an Outside Advisor to the Investment Committee of the Museum of Flight in Seattle.

Roberts is a Managing Director with Coldstream Capital Management. He joined Coldstream in 2017 as part of its acquisition of The Rainier Group, a business consulting and investment banking practice. Mr. Roberts leads The Rainier Group’s efforts throughout the country, working with Rainier’s clients and managing relationships with its strategic business partners. He brings clarity to complex issues, forging and maintaining links with professionals who serve private companies, their owners, and board members.
Mr. Roberts has assisted business owners in planning and implementing ownership and management transitions with The Rainier Group since 1988. Over the years, he and Rainier have and continue to partner with several Fortune 1000 companies to bring Rainier’s unique business advice to their top private clients. Mr. Roberts serves on The Rainier Group’s executive management team, directing all aspects and strategy for the company’s business operations.
Honing his skills as a professional engineer, in project management for an international electrical system manufacturer, and training at one of the nation’s top business schools, Mr. Roberts has specific expertise related to business consulting, specifically ownership and management transition and corporate governance, for privately held companies. He also brings great insight and expertise to the personal financial and estate issues important to private company owners as they contemplate changing their relationship with their businesses.
Mr. Roberts’ formal training includes a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Washington.
Ms. Te is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive global experience in financial management, corporate and fund accounting, corporate and partnership tax, treasury management, payroll, and operations. She has worked in both public accounting and private industry across Singapore, Ireland, the Philippines, and the U.S. With over 25 years of experience in accounting, audit, and banking, Ms. Te excels in both start-up and corporate environments.
At Coldstream, she oversees the accounting for the holding company and its eight affiliates, which operate across wealth management, investment banking and consulting, property and life insurance, real estate lending, tax and accounting services, and fund accounting. She is a key contributor in the review of the holding company’s M&A deals and drives the optimization of financial processes, ensuring improved accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in the company’s reporting and closing procedures.
Before joining Coldstream in 2015, Ms. Te served as Assistant Corporate Controller at Intellectual Ventures (IV), an invention capital company with $6 billion in committed capital. She was responsible for consolidating IV’s financial operations in multiple countries, including Singapore, Korea, Japan, India, China, Australia, and Ireland. She is well-versed with US GAAP and IFRS. Prior to IV, Ms. Te worked at Deloitte, where she audited public companies in the banking and technology sectors and performed 401(k) audits for both private and publicly listed firms. Earlier in her career, Ms. Te worked for nearly a decade in the banking industry in Singapore as a business development and credit officer.
Ms. Te holds a Master of Professional Accounting degree from Seattle University and a Master of Business Administration (Honors) from Seattle Pacific University. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Washington and a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Te currently serves as a committee member of the Pro-Equity Anti-Racism (PEAR) Advisory Team at the Washington State Board of Accountancy.
Ms. Yelle has served as Chief Compliance Officer for Coldstream since 2003, focusing on upholding firm standards in ethics and regulatory compliance, in alignment with the firm’s business strategy and operations. Originally serving as Director of Operations and internal hedge fund accounting, she has also managed the Client Services group and was responsible for mutual fund and GIPS compliance oversight. She joined Coldstream in September 2002 after 15 years with a local self-clearing brokerage firm managing the Operations division.
Ms. Yelle is a key member of Coldstream’s senior management team, leading the firm on governance, risk and compliance issues, and has direct reporting access to Coldstream’s Board of Directors. She is directly responsible for monitoring and enhancing the firm’s compliance policies and procedures and managing the firm’s regulatory risk exposure. Her approach reinforces the value of compliance to the firm and reaffirms the central role of compliance as a critical aspect of Coldstream’s business strategy, as well as fostering strong relationships across the firm, coordinating with other relevant functional groups, including finance, client facing groups, IT and operations, and interfacing regularly with regulators and outside counsel on legal and compliance matters.
Ms. Yelle has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington and is an IACCP® Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional.
