Wealth Manager

(Pronouns: she/her/hers)

Katie’s years of experience as a Wealth Manager and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner gives her the expertise to dive into all aspects of one’s financial life to develop and maintain a meaningful, comprehensive financial plan.

With a strong commitment to advocacy and education, Katie approaches wealth management with a focus on efficiency, creativity, flexibility, and stability. She collaborates closely with clients and their trusted advisors (including CPAs, attorneys, trustees) to craft tailored wealth management strategies in alignment with each client’s unique goals, needs, and values.

Her biggest sense of accomplishment comes from seeing client goals come to fruition and witnessing financial confidence blossom.

Katie graduated from Portland State University Honors College with double degrees in economics and French. Katie holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation and also holds Life, Health, and Variable Line Insurance Licenses in the State of Oregon.

Katie is committed to giving back and promoting equity within my community. She serves as the co-chair of the PSU Advocates, the alumni team lobbying local legislators to secure government funding for Portland State University. She is also the board treasurer for the Portland Lesbian Choir, a local nonprofit dedicated to building intergenerational community through musical excellence. At Coldstream, she co-leads the Inclusion, Diversity and Equity committee, leads the LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group, and participates on our Women and Wealth initiative. She also helps coordinate group volunteer efforts for the Portland office.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®. CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

MOST TREASURED THING I OWN

It would have to be a tie between photos of family and friends, and a handful of small family heirlooms.

ONE PIECE OF ADVICE

Progress can happen in big chunks, but I find more regularly that it happens in small, incremental achievements over time. It’s important to continue asking questions, and to be open to trying new ideas or opportunities.

HOBBIES

Outside of the office I am a brunch and coffee enthusiast, love a good board game night, root for the Portland Thorns, and enjoy staying active. My true happiest state is when I am travelling and exploring!
