Joe Cervantes, CFP®, CLU®, AEP®

Team Lead & Wealth Manager

Joe Cervantes is a Team Lead & Wealth Manager who specializes in providing comprehensive wealth management services including estate and financial planning for affluent individuals and families. For over three decades, he has focused on enriching his clients’ lives by providing tailored financial planning methodologies to address complicated investment, estate, and tax planning issues. With his ongoing desire to practice complex estate planning strategies for high-net worth families, Joe has developed extensive knowledge in legacy planning, risk awareness, insurance, and protective liability strategies.

Joe has been recognized by Barron’s as a top Financial Advisor in Washington State in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Joe earned an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from the University of Washington, Foster School of Business, and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP™) designation. Joe earned the Chartered Life Underwriting designation (CLU), in 2014, a designation for insurance professionals awarded by The American College of Financial Services. Launched in 1927, the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) is one of the insurance profession’s oldest and most respected credentials, representing a thorough understanding of a broad array of life insurance planning issues and personal risk management. Joe holds the Accredited Estate Planner® Designation, administered by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. It is awarded only to estate planning professionals who meet special requirements of education, experience, knowledge, professional reputation, and character. Joe is a current member of the Estate Planning Council of Seattle, the Financial Planners Association, and the Association of Financial Services Professionals.

When not at the office, Joe spends his days with his wife, two daughters, and two poodles. He enjoys working in his garden, cooking delicious Mexican food, riding his Harley Davidson, and hitting a few balls at Bear Creek Country Club.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®. CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

At the end of the day – when you leave everything else behind – our business is about people and relationships. Never underestimate the bonds that can be formed over a drink and some laughs.
