Jennifer Estner

As an Associate Portfolio Manager, Jennifer works side-by-side with Portfolio Managers to execute daily trades, monitor current portfolio models, and rebalance accounts. Jennifer enjoys the analytical side of investment management, as well as constructing ESG and sustainable investing portfolios. Jennifer is also part of our Investment Strategy Group (ISG) and collaborates with other Coldstream Portfolio Managers to discuss market and economic trends and make firm-level portfolio recommendations.

Jennifer’s role as an Associate Portfolio Manager builds upon her background in research and business management. She joined Cable Hill Partners in 2022, where she served as the Chief Compliance Officer and trader. She then joined Coldstream in 2025, when Cable Hill Partners merged with Coldstream thanks to the firms’ shared service culture and professional compatibility.

Jennifer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature from the University of Oregon and earned her PhD in German literature from Columbia University. Jennifer has previously held FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.

MOST TREASURED THING I OWN

A family heirloom necklace that my great-grandmother Estner brought with her when she emigrated in 1924. Her parents hoped it would protect their beloved daughter as she traveled across the ocean to America, and it did. Years later, my grandmother passed it to me.

HOBBIES

Jennifer has lived in New York, Berlin, and Astoria, where she ran a café and served on the city’s Planning Commission. In her free time, she enjoys connecting with her large extended family, honing her flamenco dance skills, and continuing her economics education.
