I recently purchased a Mike McCready signature edition Fender Stratocaster, a replica of the 1960 Strat that Mike plays in Peral Jam. The guitar sounds incredible, plays like a dream, and looks like it’s been used to tour the world for the last 60 years. It’s the first guitar I pick up every day. An actual 1960 Stratocaster costs anywhere from $40,000 to $100,000, so I’m grateful Fender made such an accurate re-issue at a reasonable price.

Use conservative estimates when planning for future cash needs, as life is almost always more expensive than you think it will be.

I enjoy time with my kids, which involves lots of Legos and video games with my son and lots of baking and painting with my daughter. When not parenting, I spend my time playing guitar, riding my bike, and hanging out with my dogs. I’ve recently started getting into building guitars and am trying to get myself out to the ocean to surf more.
