Garrett Dean, PMP

As Operations Manager, Garrett oversees our operations department. He works across teams to create, manage, and execute project plans for our internal operations initiatives. Garret also works closely with our Client Service team to continue optimizing our client experience. He diligently trains the Operations Associates on his team to ensure they can maintain the essential day-to-day functions required to smoothly make our firm run.

Garret attended Central Washington University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics. Before joining Coldstream, Garrett worked as a portfolio administrator at an RIA in Eastern Washington. He moved to Seattle in 2015 and stumbled across Coldstream while driving around the Seattle area dropping off his resume at different financial firms.

Garrett’s first role at Coldstream was as a Portfolio Administrator.  In late 2017 he made the internal move to Operations. He earned his Project Management Certification (PMP) in 2020, and now helps plan and execute wide-scale operations projects at Coldstream.

MOST TREASURED THING I OWN

The EVH Wolfgang Van Helen edition guitar I got for Christmas in 1998. It was a gift from my father who wanted to live out his dream of being a rockstar through me.

HOBBIES

Two hobbies of mine are mountain biking and snowboarding. As a passion project, I built my own mountain bike. As for my snowboard, I used to carry it in my car at all times so I could escape to the mountains after work and “shred the gnar.”
