Chris Blakeslee
Ascent Capital | Team Lead
Chris joined Coldstream in the Spring of 2012 with over 12 years of experience in the commercial banking and the private lending industry. Chris received his formal credit training from Bank of America and leveraged that into various founder and leadership roles in two Pacific Northwest-based real estate funds. An innovative and achievement-oriented leader, Chris brings a pragmatic approach to his business philosophy. Chris graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and received his MBA from the University of Washington.
THE MOST TREASURED THING I OWN
A 1966 Ford F250 pick up truck. We are both of the same vintage. I joke as I get older, the truck, like me, takes a little while to warm up but once it’s warm, it still runs great.
ONE PIECE OF ADVICE
Rivers do not drink their own water; trees do not eat their own fruit; the sun does not shine on itself and flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves. Living for others is a rule of nature. We are all born to help each other. No matter how difficult it is…Life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you.
HOBBIES
I love staying active outside and spending the majority of my time on Mercer Island with my wife, two daughters, and black lab named Gypsy. You can often catch me golfing, kite-surfing, skiing, surfing, playing tennis, and trying just about any other activity that really gets my body moving.
