Carolyn Grabiel
Client Service Associate
(Pronouns: she/her/hers)
As a Client Service Associate, Carolyn works side-by-side with Wealth Management Associates and Wealth Managers to process client requests. Our clients’ lives can be hectic and stressful; by executing the daily inflow of time sensitive tasks, Carolyn is able to provide our clients with worry-free solutions to some of their daily stressors. Carolyn looks forward to starting her financial career at Coldstream and working closely with the clients we serve.
Carolyn’s unique background blends the fields of residential lending and clinical psychology, giving her a distinctive perspective on helping people. What Carolyn found most fulfilling in both fields was her ability to break down complex ideas and assist individuals in applying that knowledge to achieve their goals. Whether it’s guiding someone through the often overwhelming process of securing a mortgage or helping a patient manage their pain and improve their quality of life, Carolyn’s passion lies in empowering others through clarity and practical support.
Carolyn attended Antioch University and earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology. Before that, she earned her bachelor’s in business economics and organizational psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
THE MOST TREASURED THING I OWN
A ring that my mother gave to me. It was the first piece of jewelry that she ever purchased for herself as a young woman working in the exciting environment of downtown San Francisco, CA. She worked seven days a week: Monday through Friday her job as an executive assistant for a California Congressman kept her busy, and on the weekends, she worked for a radio and television station that often put her in front of the camera rather than doing the administrative job she held. One day as she was walking to the cable car she’d hop on to get home, she spied a beautiful, delicate ring with pearls and small diamonds in a store window. She went in and purchased it on “lay-away”. Every week she’d go and make a payment, look at it, and dream of when she could take it home which, one day, she did. She loved her work, and she loved the ring that I now wear. It reminds me to not give up on something that I really want for something that I want right now, and to love the process as I work towards my goals.
ONE PIECE OF ADVICE
“Be prepared, and be honest” – John Wooden
So simple and straightforward, yet applicable to the work that I do, the races that I run, and the relationships that I treasure.
HOBBIES
I enjoy distance running and have a passion for introducing (or re-introducing) folks to the joy of running. I currently get to do this as a coach for a local women’s running group. I also enjoy skiing, hiking, travel, music and spending time doing many of these activities with my two young adult children and my husband.
