Associate Wealth Manager

(Pronouns: she/her/hers)

As an Associate Wealth Manager, Thanh (pronounced “Tawn”) is responsible for helping clients identify and achieve their financial goals through an approachable and understandable, comprehensive wealth management plan. She coordinates with the clients’ other trusted advisors (CPAs, attorneys, insurance agents) to make sure families are covered across the board and have confidence in their overall financial life. Thanh’s background in the public and private accounting space allows her to stay atop constantly evolving income and estate tax changes. She breaks down complex tax matters for our clients, which includes but is not limited to: income and estate tax reduction strategies, the use of long-term capital gains and losses for maximum benefit, and the impact of preferred dividends and municipal bond revenue.

Thanh graduated from Portland State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance, and holds her CPA license. Thanh is also bilingual in Vietnamese and can speak some Mandarin Chinese as well.

Thanh enjoys staying active in her community. She participates in Portland’s Korean Food Festival, where she has been a chef assistant to “Koreatown” author Deuki Hong and Portland chef Johanna Ware. She also performs in the Thrill of the World, an annual global community project that inspires others to break down barriers and connect people of all cultures as they dance simultaneously to Michael Jackson’s iconic song “Thriller.” Additionally, when Thanh was a Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Portland State University, she helped the City of Portland in planning, organization, and execution of a project to translate the City’s Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) into other languages. This project was done in an effort to make the City’s financial information more accessible to the Portland community.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®. CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
