Nicole Benson, PHR

As a Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist, Nicole collaborates with our Director of Human Resources on various initiatives centered around team member engagement, training, and development. She is responsible for our handbook policies, coordinating onboarding of new team members, and administration of 401(k) and benefits plans. Nicole also handles performance management, team member surveys, leaves and sabbaticals, and ADP and Trakstar training.

Nicole has been growing her HR career for over 10 years. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor in Management and Human Resources, she moved to Seattle to start her career as a Recruiting Coordinator. Nicole then moved into a Benefits Administrator role with a small local HR Consulting firm. Since then, she has continued to take opportunities to gain experience in HR Generalist roles, and today fosters strong connections and collaboration across the organization. Nicole holds her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.

MOST TREASURED THING I OWN

I have a 4 generation photo from when I was a only a few months old that includes my great-grandma, grandma, and mom. When my daughter turned 1, I was able to create a similar photo for her including her great-grandpa, grandma, and myself.

Be comfortable with being uncomfortable – that is how we stretch ourselves to learn and grow.

HOBBIES

When not working, I enjoy being active- from walks to group strength and HIIT classes. I love cooking and baking homemade food for my family. I also like to do DIY projects, puzzles, and wine tasting!
