MOST TREASURED THING I OWN
My son’s piano. It stands directly beside my desk. We got it when my boy started playing during the pandemic. As a single mom, buying a piano wasn’t something I thought was in our budget, and I am so glad we have it. To our surprise, my son has a gift. He’s a teenager, and I’ve loved hearing him play music, express himself, and grow.
ONE PIECE OF ADVICE
“Show up. Pay attention. Tell the truth. Have no attachment to outcome.” I received this nugget as fiction writing advice, but it seems to work whenever I’m uncertain.
HOBBIES
I love distance running with friends. I’m not fast, but I have ten marathons and two ultra-marathons under my belt. I would love to do more trail running to see new landscapes and eat more snacks.
