Ken Lin

Ken works side-by-side with our Chief Investment Officer (CIO) leading the Investment Strategy Group (ISG). As an Analyst in ISG, he monitors our current model portfolios and proposes enhancements to our investment models through his research findings. He is an active member of ISG and participates in all the investment sub-committees. Ken works with our CIO to prepare our investment outlook presentation on a quarterly basis and webinars year-round. His focus on data driven results and analytical mindset is undeniably valuable to ISG and Coldstream as a whole.

Ken graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance. Prior to Coldstream, Ken completed various internships with exposure ranging from corporate finance/accounting to financial operations and portfolio management/advisory at RIAs, most recently, at Empirical Wealth Management.

A picture of my grandparents. It’s a simple reminder that at the end of the day, relationships and the people we share our lives with matter most. No accomplishment or material thing compares to the impact of family and the values they’ve passed down to me.

ONE PIECE OF ADVICE

Motivation is volatile, it comes and goes with emotions, circumstances, and energy levels. Discipline, on the other hand, is a character trait that is molded over time. It creates consistency, resilience, and progress across all aspects of life — whether in career, at the gym, or a hike that wasn’t as easy as expected.

HOBBIES

I like going to the gym every day; it’s become a big part of my routine. I also enjoy playing Texas Hold’em, especially the mix of strategy and decision making it takes to play well. When I’m at home, I like cooking and trying out new recipes.
