James Walsh, CFA®, MBA
Senior Portfolio Manager
With a true passion for investments and market analysis, James began his career in 1998 when he joined Worldwide Investments Corp. as an equity trader. Prior to joining Coldstream, he worked as an analyst with the Private Client Services group at City National Bank in Beverly Hills, CA. James holds a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from California State University, San Marcos, and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine. In addition to his degrees, James also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation in 2009 and is an active member of the CFA Society of Seattle.

Most people know me as a dedicated outdoorsman because of how much time I spend outside! I am fully committed to exploring the expansive backyard we have here in the PNW through hiking, trail running, and training for marathons. I am thankful to have an amazing wife, Elizabeth, and awesome daughter, Olivia, who support and join me on some of my adventures. We’ve made some of our favorite family memories on road trips where we camp and hike.
