James L. Moore, AAMS®, CMFC®

As a Wealth Manager, Jim provides comprehensive planning and addresses needs related to the management of a client’s holistic financial picture. He focuses on fostering relationships with new and existing clients to ensure their financial plan captures the milestones and changes in their lives. Jim enjoys turning complex financial advice into easy-to-understand guidance. Finances can be a major source of anxiety for many people and Jim aims to alleviate that burden.

Jim’s experience in institutional and retail investment management spans over 25 years. Prior to joining Coldstream, Jim was a Senior Family Advisor at Parcion Private Wealth. When it comes to wealth management, Jim has not only serviced high-net-worth families in Washington and Alaska, but, during his 4+ years at Cornerstone Advisors, he helped hire, train, and coach other client managers. He understands the qualities financial advisors should possess and holds himself to a high level of client service.

Jim earned his Accredited Asset Management Specialist AAMS^® and Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor CMFC^® designations from the College for Financial Planning. He attended Arizona State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the W. P. Carey School of Business.

Jim was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska. He looks forward to reconnecting with the Alaskan community in-person and working with the clients we serve from our Kenai, AK office.

HOBBIES

I have the honor of experiencing life with my wife, son, and our rescued miniature schnauzer, Bentley. I enjoy almost all outdoor activities – especially fishing. I am licensed as a private pilot, so get to take in the outdoors from a different vantage point.
