Alicia Follmer, CFP®

As a Senior Wealth Management Associate, Alicia works with the families we serve to create achievable financial plans. As a comprehensive wealth management firm, we believe looking at your financial life holistically can bring peace of mind. By really getting to know our clients, Alicia gets your financial picture into focus and helps create a clear path for your financial journey. Additionally, Alicia reviews the plan’s progress over time to ensure it aligns with your financial short- and long-term goals.

Alicia graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, with a concentration in Investment Finance.  She then obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Gonzaga University School of Law. Alicia has been in the financial service industry for 17 years.  Most recently, she spent 15 years at Merrill Lynch, initially as a Registered Client Service Associate and then as a Private Wealth Relationship Manager, which allowed her to expand her role to focus more on financial planning. Alicia holds her FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 and is also a Certified Financial Planner.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®. CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.

THE MOST TREASURED THING I OWN

A scrapbook I made my grandmother for her 85^th birthday (pre-Shutterfly – all handmade!).  We don’t have a lot of photos of her, so to be able to have her memories preserved is pretty special.

ONE PIECE OF ADVICE

I have found that a lot of people are intimidated by (or uninterested in) financial planning, so it’s easy to put off until later.  While it’s best to start planning early, it’s never too late.  The peace of mind a trusted advisor can offer by developing a plan for the future can be very empowering, and it’s one of the most rewarding aspects of my role.

HOBBIES

A lifelong tennis player, Alicia has competed on two USTA teams for several years.  She is also now in her 8^th year as a weekly volunteer dog walker at the Humane Society.  A polo player for several years, she is now moving to the show ring, and looks forward to travelling to summer shows with her two horses Belle and Lady.
