Scott Szeman, CFA®
Portfolio Manager
As Portfolio Manager, Scott is responsible for working directly with clients to align their investment portfolios with their short- and long-term financial goals. Scott is part of our dedicated, in-house investment team. He collaborates with other members of the Investment Strategy Group (ISG) in setting firm-wide investment standards. Scott enjoys getting to know the unique goals our clients have and creating an asset allocation mix suited to their risk level.
Bringing 20+ years of relevant experience in investments, Scott has gained knowledge at other registered investment advisors (RIAs) and asset managers. In his most recent role, Scott was the Director of Research at Evolytical Investments where he developed and managed equity and derivative strategies. A fun fact about Scott – he was Paracle Advisors’ first Chief Investment Officer from 2011 – 2013. Paracle Advisors merged with Coldstream in 2021. Scott has enjoyed working directly with many of his original colleagues and clients on Team Paracle.
Scott attended and graduated from Purdue University and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

MOST TREASURED THING I OWN
Either my Surly Long Haul Trucker (a bicycle) or my table saw – it is truly a tossup. Both are extremely versatile and help minimize the number of things I need to own.
ONE PIECE OF ADVICE
The markets and economy are dynamic, so always retest conventional wisdom.
HOBBIES
In my free time I like hiking, multi-day backpacking, backcountry snowboarding, climbing, biking, and kayaking. I’m also into food: growing, cooking, and eating. On rainy days, reading and a never-ending home remodel are common activities in my home.
