A Bellevue, WA native, Joe specializes in providing customized wealth management services for affluent individuals and families. For over three decades, he has focused on enriching his clients’ lives by providing tailored financial planning methodologies to address complicated investment, estate, insurance, and financial planning issues. Joe has been recognized by Barron's as a top Financial Advisor in Washington State in 2020. Prior to joining Coldstream, Joe was an owner/operator of an independent insurance firm, honing his knowledge and skills in life and health insurance. He has extensive knowledge of risk awareness and comprehensive knowledge of insurance. Joe currently maintains insurance licenses in all lines including life, disability, property, and casualty insurance, and has also obtained his Chartered Life Underwriting designation (CLU). Joe earned an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from the University of Washington, Foster School of Business, and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP™) designation. Joe holds the Accredited Estate Planner® Designation, administered by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. It is awarded only to estate planning professionals who meet special requirements of education, experience, knowledge, professional reputation, and character. Joe maintains membership in the following professional organizations: Estate Planning Council of Seattle, Financial Planning Association, Financial Services Professionals, and the Greater Seattle Business Association.

When not at the office, Joe spends his days with his wife, two daughters, and two poodles. He enjoys working in his garden, cooking delicious Mexican food, riding his Harley Davidson, and hitting a few balls at Bear Creek Country Club.
